Cryptogenic Brain Atrophy

Abstract

|
Eleven cases of cryptogenic brain atrophy v. as selected from several hundred brain atrophy cases to be analyzed in detail.
It can occur at any age with symptoms of headache, dizziness, weak vision, poor memory, paresthesia etc as those in neurosis. Physical examination discloses often pyramidal signs mainly or nothing neurological but for neurotic signs.
Electroencephalograms show theta or delta waves diffusely or focally and spinal fluid manifests occasional increase of cells and/or protein.
